The GOP just can't stop talking about rape

You just can’t make this stuff up.  Rep. Phil Gingrey (R-Ga.) said former Rep. Todd Akin (R-Mo.) was “partly right” in response to Akin’s remarks — which were proven untrue by doctors — about women being able to shut down a pregnancy if they are raped.

The truth is that the Tea Party Congress is so far outside the main stream that they are in jeopardy of becoming a regional southern party. Rape is rape, and there is no such thing as a legitimate or partial rape.  Every rape is a horrible crime and the government has no business whatsoever defining rape or interfering with a woman’s decision about her body.

After defending Akin’s legitimate rape comments, Gingrey goes on to give advice to couples having troubling conceiving telling them to just relax and have a glass of wine.  Where did this man get his medical degree?
